Ghyll Royd School and Nursery is an independent preparatory school specialising in quality education and care for boys aged 2 to 11 years.
Set in beautiful and extensive grounds and housed in a recently renovated manor house, the school is situated on the A65 on the outskirts of Ilkley and is ideally located for families living in the surrounding areas of Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.
Ghyll Royd School is unique in that we specialise in quality education for boys. We believe the school has that little bit of magic shining through everything we do and which we believe sets us apart from any other school in the area.
Above all, our boys are happy and develop a genuine love of learning and a strong sense of achievement. Dedicated teaching staff both inspire and enthuse our boys through a broad, stimulating and 'boy friendly' curriculum with an emphasis on sport, music and ICT. The positive learning culture, developed within the school together with the high standards we achieve, ensure that our boys can confidently move into Grammar Schools of their choice.
Staff pupil ratios in the school are very good and we pride ourselves on the high level of care that our boys enjoy.
