It all started with Sam, my beloved Labrador Dog .......

I'm Debbi Johnson, a self-taught Watercolour and Graphite Artist based in West Yorkshire.

My preferred subjects are Pet Portrait studies — Horse Portraits, Dog Portraits, cats etc, studies of Wildlife, and also Landscapes of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside which surrounds where I'm lucky enough to live.

Since that very first drawing of Sam my portrait galleries have increased somewhat, and I now concentrate almost fully on Pet Portrait commissions. A portrait can consist of a single pet, or can be a group study. You can choose to have your pet portrait in watercolour or graphite, and the painting can be of the whole body or just the head. Pet Portraits are becoming increasingly popular, and make ideal gifts for any pet lover.
